Morning Rituals for Presence
By Sandy
The way you begin your morning sets the tone for the entire day. Before reaching for your phone, before checking the world outside, there is a quiet moment that belongs only to you.
Creating Space
A morning ritual doesn't need to be elaborate. It can be as simple as boiling water, sitting by a window, and breathing. The key is consistency over complexity.
Try this: Before anything else, sit quietly for five minutes. Notice your breath. Notice the light. That's enough.
A Gentle Framework
- Wake without an alarm when possible
- Drink warm water with lemon
- 5–10 minutes of journaling or free writing
- Gentle stretching or yoga
- A cup of herbal tea, made with attention
These aren't tasks to complete — they're invitations to arrive in your body. Over time, this practice becomes a refuge, a place of clarity that you can carry through the day.
